As the holidays end and everyone gets back to work, the Business & IP Centre Manchester in Central Library is ramping up activity.

Highlights in September include our new twilight business events, Early Doors at the BIPC.

The first event, Pitch Perfect, is for anyone that wants to get tips on how to present their idea better.

Ex-BBC journalist Steve Rawling will be talking about what makes a great pitch and how it can be the key to success. Includes:

–        Understanding you, your audience & your message

–        Three ways to kill a good pitch (and how to avoid them)

–        Staying calm under pressure

Followed by an opportunity to network with other local businesses and learn about how the Business and IP Centre can help you. Refreshments will be available from 5:30.

Video Skills for Small Business

This workshop will help you plan, shoot and edit video for the web. It’s practical – you’ll film and be filmed, learning hands-on throughout the day. You’ll practice fast and effective storytelling whilst improving skills like framing and exposure as well as getting to grips with powerful editing software on your phone or tablet.

The first session on 14th September is now full, but there are still some places on the next course on 28th September. Book at: http://manchesterbipc.eventbrite.com
