lgbt2Our ever popular Saturday Spectacular event was very colourful last week! Rainbows were shining brightly over Manchester despite the gloomy weather outside as we celebrated LGBT+ History Month.
Families enjoyed a day of crafts, green screen fun, story-time sessions and stalls from the LGBTQI+ community.

Proud 2 b Parents were on hand offering advice, support and information about their services. As were our very own LGBT Archive volunteers who had their LGBT Foundation hats on for the day.

Our National Archives Trainee displayed a wide variety of the Gay Life magazines and other titles from our collections. We also displayed some of our LGBTQI+ books that are available to loan from the library.  The Green Screen proved as popular as ever and we captured some fantastic family photographs.

The day was enjoyed by many and we look forward to welcoming you to our next Saturday Spectacular of Irish Heritage. Come along and celebrate an afternoon of Irish heritage for all the family on Saturday 18th March – click here for more information.
