Prize winning children’s author and illustrator Nick Sharratt visits Central Library. Watch the video of Nick sharing his life and work with Manchester’s school children and visitors to the magical ‘Pirates, Pants and Wellyphants’ exhibition.
Nick Sharratt is the well loved author of classic picture books including Shark in the Park, and illustrator of books by authors including Jacqueline Wilson.
The truly interactive exhibition at Central Library engaged young and old. “You’ll see how I drew when I was younger and discover how I became an illustrator,” Nick said. There were lots of Nick Sharratt books to explore including this blogger’s favourite ‘Eat Your Peas.’
Nick Sharratt was born in 1962 in London and studied on an art foundation course at Manchester Polytechnic. You can read more about Nick’s life on his website.
