Start Up Day is back on Thursday 21 September. Join us at Central Library for a day of free workshops, talks and events to give you the know-how to turn your great idea into a business.
There’s a fantastic line up: hear from experienced entrepreneurs and learn how to stand out from the online crowd, raise finance for your business and much more. You’ll have the chance to meet like-minded people and talk to seasoned business experts and entrepreneurs.
Our keynote speaker is Suzanne Brock from the luxury pet food brand Nutriment.
In four years her company has gone from a start up to now having a £6M turnover.
Other highlights include:
Jason Bailey from GRUB talking about what it’s like to be self employed
Marketing Your Start Up with Helen Jack from FoodSorcery
Our first Made In Manchester event featuring a panel of businesses that have all used the Business and Intellectual Property Centre at Central Library!
There are sessions from Google on devising a social media strategy for your start up, plus how to use data to understand your data with Google Analytics.
Our Finding Funding panel will cover the tricky issue of how to get finance when you’re a new business, and features experts from Manchester Business School and Lloyds Bank.
Plus sessions on intellectual property, researching your idea, and how to write the perfect business plan. We’re even launching our new Central Library tea, created by Marcy Hazell from Parched Tea Co., exclusively for us.
Start Up Day is also a great opportunity to meet other entrepreneurs and get tips, network, and share experiences at our Made In Manchester sessions! You can book for the whole day or just the sessions of particular interest on Eventbrite
Start Up Day is supported by Google and Virgin Start Up
