Beloved children’s authors including Julia Donaldson, David Walliams, Francesca Simon and Roald Dahl feature strongly in book loans in libraries across the UK according to the latest figures revealed by Public Lending Right (PLR).
In Manchester an amazing nine out of the top ten are children’s authors, highlighting the crucial role our libraries play in supporting early years reading and literacy.
