It’s been a strange old time of late. In libraries, we have been really missing our customers.
Easter holidays have been and gone. Usually, they would have been full of children and we’d have been enjoying lots of crafting sessions. However, we’re a dedicated lot and never ones to miss a chance of making. Some of our fantastic library staff have been beavering away at home coming up with crafts that they can share from their homes to yours, using the kinds of things that hopefully you already have at home.
Anne and her son came up with a great Bunny bookmark and since then we’ve had Flowers, Buzzin Bees and no do it yourself Blue Peter type craft would be without Toilets Rolls. Crafty Tuesday launches with a fantastic Wiggly Worm and Animal Rolls, you guessed it both using toilet rolls.
For the future of lockdown we will be posting new, do at home crafts every Tuesday at 11am on Manchester Libraries Facebook page. They will also be shared to Longsight & Forum Library Facebook pages as well.
Or if you’d like to find them all in one place pop over to our newly created Manchester Libraries YouTube channel that’s hosting lots of our fantastic specially created digital content for all our library customers to enjoy.
But for now enjoy the battle and post us your ctaft pictures on Longsight Library’s Facebook page.
