With more of Manchester’s attractions opening we have created an updated list of places to visit in Manchester this week.
Places to see this week
Central Library will reopen its doors to the public on Thursday 20th August – with limited capacity to enable social distancing and safety measures in place, to guard against the coronavirus. Opening hours will initially be 10am–4pm from Monday to Thursday and on Saturdays. The library will remain closed on Fridays and in the evenings until further notice, to allow regular deep cleans to take place, on top of an enhanced daily cleansing regime.
Manchester Art Gallery will also open its doors on 20th August and will be open Thursday to Sunday, 11am – 4pm. Entry is by online advanced booking only.
The Science and Industry Museum is now open Wednesday to Sunday, 10am – 5pm. Entry is by free, pre booked tickets, which can be booked up to 2 weeks in advance.
Elizabeth Gaskell House is open Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. 11-4.30pm (last entry 3.30pm) Visitors must pre-book their visit on a timed entry, which are available to book every 15 minutes.
Opening Soon
The People’s History Museum will open on 1st September Tuesday’s to Sunday’s 10am – 5pm and visitors are asked to register online for timed entrance.
HOME will be opening their Cinema from the 4th September.
