Some of you may be enjoying Netflix’s new drama ‘The Irregulars’.  The series tells the story of the ‘Baker Street Irregulars’, a gang of troubled street teens who are manipulated into solving crimes for the sinister Doctor Watson and his mysterious business partner, the elusive Sherlock Holmes, who takes the credit for their work.

Look again at episode 6 and you may notice a familiar setting. Yes, you are not mistaken, that really is our very own Wolfson Reading (with a few props) and the stairs leading up to it with the Reading Girl statue in full view. The film shoot took place over a busy weekend in October 2020 and generated valuable income, as all the commercial film shoots we accommodate do. The Irregulars shoot is by far the largest we’ve had since the venue was re-launched in 2014, following the major transformation. As the country gradually gets back to some sort of normality following the pandemic, we hope to accommodate many more in the future.
