The cafe has reduced seating and is following all covid secure guidelines.

In June, we are excited to be celebrating the first Manchester City of Literature Festival of Libraries.

Here’s some more information from the City of Literature –

This festival allows citizens to celebrate the key role that libraries play in civic life. It encourages children, young people, migrant communities and vulnerable groups to use the diverse library service offer creatively. Partner libraries around the city will host performances, exhibitions, concerts, art, film, writing classes, and public debates. Writers, illustrators and musicians will be commissioned to respond to the vital role libraries play to the people of Manchester.

On Sunday 13 June we will be restarting trial live events with a Festival of Libraries Sunday Funday at Central Library.

It is your chance to come and explore this iconic building and discover some library magic. There will be a mixture of theatre performance, family friendly craft activities and so much more. All activities will be following covid guidelines and must be prebooked as numbers will be limited.

We’ll be providing more information about booking for this event very soon.
