This week we celebrated libraries across Manchester and Greater Manchester as part of the Festival of Libraries, produced by Manchester City of Literature and funded by Arts Council England.  There have been over eighty events planned over five days and over the coming weeks we will share more highlights. However, in the first instance I wanted to showcase three amazing library stars – Maxine, Paula and Hema, and the part they played in the festival – describing our libraries in Manchester.

Please take fifteen minutes out of your day to have a look, share and revisit what our libraries deliver and the difference they make to people’s lives.  It’s been a tough fifteen months and as we move forward to “normal” service – I think it is helpful to reflect on what an amazing library service we offer and what we look forward to getting back to over the summer.

I want to thank all of the Manchester Libraries team for their hard work, dedication and commitment to delivering the best for our residents and also the support they offer each other.
