We’re thrilled to be supported this World Book Day by Manchester United’s player, Aaron Wan-Bissaka. Listen to this message from Aaron, which includes a call to action to visit your local library and a shout-out to the city’s reading campaign, Read Manchester – ‘Reading is really important. It helps develop our mind and supports our mental well-being’
We might be a city of reds and blues, but when it comes to the power of reading, I’m sure we’re all in agreement!
Read Manchester and the Manchester United Foundation are joining forces to promote reading in other ways too. Over 7,000 copies of Marcus Rashford’s inspirational book, ‘You Are A Champion‘ have already been gifted to children in Manchester primary schools. With support from the Manchester United Foundation, this will be rolled out to Year 7’s in selected high schools too. With the fantastic learning resources developed by our partners at One Education, Marcus’ book will inspire thousands of children and young people in the city to be the best that they can be.
