The Festival of Libraries returns in June 2022, and will take place in libraries across Greater Manchester. After a successful debut last year, this year’s festival will run from Wednesday 15 to Sunday 19 June, 2022.
The Festival, which is supported by Arts Council England, once again features a varied and vibrant programme that highlights the library network’s full offer, with events taking in wellbeing, activism, culture and creativity, digital and information, and of course reading.
Events for all ages will take place in libraries across Greater Manchester including Manchester Central Library and the other Manchester City Council Libraries. Events already announced include family fun days at North City Library, Longsight Library and Wythenshawe Forum Libraries on Saturday 18 June, and a Sunday Funday at Central Library on Sunday 19 June to coincide with Manchester Day celebrations. Join us for an Archives handling session on the theme of Activism on Wednesday 15 June. There will be special ‘See Myself in Books’ storytimes across our libraries during that week.
More exciting events, activities and workshops will be announced over coming weeks, so check out the unexpected and keep an on the Manchester City of Literature website for details
