Manchester Libraries is excited to be taking part in the brand-new campaign from Manchester UNESCO City of Literature’s Festival of Libraries.  All over Greater Manchester, copies of Lenny Henry’s book ‘The Boy with Wings’ will be hidden in parks, cultural venues and town centres.   If you find one, you get to keep it AND you can join in a prize draw to attend a special event with Sir Lenny at a city-centre Manchester venue on Saturday 18 June!  You also receive a special congratulation certificate.

You’ll need to keep an eye out for the books between 16 and 22 May, and details of how to register for the prize draw will be included in the wallet with the book.  If you are looking for some clues as to where the books might be found, then check out Manchester Libraries Facebook and Read Manchester Facebook pages and don’t miss our Manchester Libraries and Manchester Library Trail twitter pages.

Copies of my book, The Boy with Wings, have been hidden across the whole of Greater Manchester as part of the Manchester Festival of Libraries – how exciting!

Sir Lenny Henry

The story’s an adventure about an ordinary kid who becomes an extraordinary hero, and you can be a hero too!

I can’t wait to come to Manchester – you’ve got some pretty amazing libraries!
