You can access Manchester Libraries online from your mobile phone. There are 2 ways to do so – by the catalogue or by the Spydus Mobile App.
From both you can:
- Search for books, e-books and other items
- Reserve a book free of charge, and we’ll deliver it to your local library
- Renew your books

From the attractive mobile friendly catalogue you can also:
- Check out the latest books added to stock
- Get recommendations of other books that might interest you
- Be linked to our other electronic resources – such as ebooks, eaudio books, emagazines and enewspapers
We’ll also send you a reminder before your books are overdue and let you know when your request is ready to pick up.
Fancy ‘going large’? You can now extend your search to the whole of the Greater Manchester Libraries catalogue. Just select the handy ‘Try this search in the Greater Manchester Libraries Catalogue’ link in your search results.
Spydus Mobile App
If you prefer to use an App:
- In your app store, download and open “Spydus Mobile”
- Select Library – choose Manchester Libraries
- You can now search by clicking on Discover
- Login, to make the most of the App, including renewing your books and reserving books for collection at your local library
