Stephen Lawrence Day took place at Gorton Library this year. Children and families came along and dived into activities. Artist, Tina Ramos Ekongo helped children to make posters that celebrated Stephen and allowed them to express their anti-racist opinions.

Participants were invited to paint pebbles with messages and beautiful designs that they then shared with others either b gifting or leaving them places for others to find them. Everyone loved this activity including the very elderly gentleman and his daughter.

Library staff delivered a lovely activity wrapping cardboard hearts with wool. They also were invited to write about their vision for the world they would love to see around them.
