You can use BorrowBox to browse, borrow and read or listen to ebooks and audio books anywhere and everywhere.

From 1st June 2023, Borrowbox will be replacing Libby/Overdrive. You will be able to access the very best eAudiobooks, eBooks and ePress (Magazines and Newspapers) for free via BorrowBox, your all in one library app!

Providing digital shelves you can swipe through, BorrowBox offers amazing digital content at the click of a button – plus, it’s completely free with your library membership.

Easy-to-use and lots of fun, BorrowBox will allow you to access the world’s best stories, anywhere and everywhere.

There are no fines and you’re able to borrow an unlimited number of magazines to keep for as long as you like. To get started:

Access to free e-books, audio books, and e-press (newspapers and magazines) is available to all Manchester library card holders. If you do not have a library card you can apply online for one here.

If you currently use emagazines on Libby or enewspapers on Pressreader, you will need to access via the Borrowbox app instead.

To download the app, go to the app store on your device, search and download BorrowBox:
