Books for Christmas Appeal – A Big Thank You!
Manchester Libraries Trust, with Manchester Libraries and Read Manchester, are heartened to see the Books for Christmas appeal reach the £3,000 target!
A huge thank you to everyone who donated – your contributions really make a difference by giving the gift of reading to children and helping them to develop a lifelong love of reading that is proven to be so beneficial to development and quality of life. Your support has helped buy brand new books to Manchester children who need them most via food banks, community grocers, family centres and community groups.
Huge thanks to Bethell Group Plc who supported the appeal this year at their annual Christmas Jumper Day!
Staff were invited to wear their best festive garb and raised a total of £327.60!
Bethell staff have also volunteered their time this year to help us deliver books to organisations around the city, ensuring that every child gets the opportunity to develop a life long love of reading.
