Consul General of Romania visit to Central Library.

We were honoured to welcome the Consul General of Romania, Nicoleta Teodorovici, to Central Library to celebrate Romanian Culture Day. She was met by Councillor John Hacking, Executive Member for Skills, Employment and Leisure and Philip Cooke, Libraries and Archives Lead.

During her visit she kindly donated a range of books to Manchester Libraries, including a fantastic set of the complete works of the poet Mihai Eminescu and a collection of books about the history of the Romanian Academy which is celebrating it’s 150th Anniversary this year.
