We have an exciting opportunity for experienced and forward-looking libraries staff to join our team.  The right candidate will have a good understanding of the way that Manchester libraries operate – our ethos, culture and our high expectations of customer service.  If you’ve got an innovative approach to work and are passionate about the key role that libraries play at the heart of communities, we would love to hear from you. 

We are now recruiting to the post of Service Development Specialist: Stock and Reader Development.  The right candidate will be an experienced library manager, with a proven track record of budget management and book stock within library services. You will need to have the skills and experience to ensure libraries stock and resources budgets are used effectively.  

You will have an innovative, customer focussed approach to work and be skilled at leading change.  You will have strong interpersonal skills, and an experienced staff manager. Your experience must include spreading the love of reading amongst customers and promoting the use of library books.  If you’re a creative thinker, are passionate about books, reading and library cultural programmes, then we would love to hear from you.

Job Title: Service Development Specialist: Stock and Reader Development

Grade 8 £37,261 – £41,496 (Bar at £40,478) per annum

Working Hours: 35 Hours per week

Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
