How to Build a Library Screening at Withington Library

Withington Library would like to welcome you to a screening of the documentary film, How to Build a Library on Saturday 10 October at 2pm.

The documentary follows ‘two tenacious Nairobi women [who] decide to transform what used to be a whites-only library until 1958 into a vibrant cultural hub. Along the way, they must navigate local politics, raise millions for the rebuild, and confront the lingering ghosts of Kenya’s colonial past.’

Come and join us as we share in this inspiring story about the ongoing importance of having inclusive and accessible libraries at the heart of our communities.
