Manchester People’s Culture Award

The Manchester Culture Awards celebrate the best of culture and creativity in the city. As well as recognising the events that have made us laugh, cry, and think over the last year, they also show the impact that culture has on areas such as equality, health, business, and the independent sector.
Most of the award winners are chosen by a fantastic judging panel. The judges are drawn from a range of backgrounds and interests which not only brings a range of perspectives, but also helps to ensure a lively debate when they meet to make the final decisions.
The Manchester People’s Culture Award is, however, different in that it is chosen by a public vote. From the long list of inspiring nominations, eight are now on the shortlist. They are there because of their outstanding work which is continuing to have an incredible impact. All deserve to win, but in the end only one can. So have a look at the summaries in the link to Manchester Evening News below, and choose your favourite.
The vote for closes at midnight on Sunday 8 September
