MyChocoBouquet – Business & IP Centre Case Study

When creativity meets entrepreneurship, the results can be truly inspiring. That’s exactly what happened with MyChocoBouquet, a business which specialises in creating beautifully designed chocolate bouquets that combine the sweetness of chocolates with the elegance of floral arrangements! Each bouquet is crafted to deliver a luxurious, heartfelt gift that leaves a lasting impression.
Founder, Shola said “MyChocoBouquet was born from a passion for creating gifts that bring joy and make people feel valued and celebrated. While chocolates are a timeless favourite, I envisioned a way to enhance the gifting experience, offering something more elegant and uniquely memorable. I also work with Airbnb hosts who want to welcome their guests with hampers and chocolate bouquets”
“I first heard about the library’s resources from my husband, who mentioned the opportunities available for small business owners. I had no idea there was an entire floor dedicated to entrepreneurs!”
“I decided to explore the Business & IP Centre, and I was pleasantly surprised by the wealth of information and support available for growing small businesses like mine.”
Like many entrepreneurs, Shola needed support and resources to help her business grow. She was particularly focused on learning how to reach a wider audience, to understand how and why resources such as the databases could help her to take her business to the next level.
Shola explored the information on various databases such as COBRA (Complete Business Reference Adviser) platform, “this gave me valuable insights into how and where to promote my business, as well as information on available funding opportunities”.
Shola also spoke at the Manchester Business & IP Centre’s Start-Up Huddle, where she pitched her business to other entrepreneurs with the viewpoint of receiving constructive feedback. She explained her business journey so far, as well as sharing her aspirations and challenges.
“During the Start-Up Huddle, I gained a lot of practical suggestions, many of which I plan to implement to help push my business to the next level”.
“The advice I received has set me on the right path. Even though not everything can happen immediately, I now know what steps to take — and that’s invaluable.”
MyChocoBouquet isn’t stopping at stunning gifts. The next phase for Shola involves launching a chocolate bouquet workshop — a space for people to learn how to create their own bouquets, whether for fun or as a side hustle. The workshop aims to inspire creativity while offering a practical way for participants to earn extra income. What’s more, Shola has a powerful vision to collaborate with local charities. The workshops will serve as a mental health support initiative, providing a therapeutic, hands-on activity that promotes well-being, creativity, and community connection.
