NeuroNetwork MCR at the Business & IP Centre: Meet the Founder Behind the Initiative

At the Business & IP Centre in Manchester Central Library, we’re proud to support innovative initiatives that empower entrepreneurs and small business owners, especially those from underrepresented communities. One such initiative is NeuroNetwork MCR, founded by Rebecca Moley, a business consultant and coach whose lived experience as an AuDHD entrepreneur inspired her to create a safe, inclusive space for Neurodivergent business owners. Through her coaching business, Calm Horizon Coaching, and her collaboration with the Business & IP Centre Manchester, Rebecca has helped build a vibrant community where Neurodivergent entrepreneurs can connect, share, and thrive.
We’re excited to share Rebecca’s story:
“A little about me, my background is in business, mainly fintech, and I am AuDHD. I started my own coaching business, Calm Horizon Coaching, last year after moving into business consultancy and then training as a coach. My clients are predominantly Neurodivergent sole traders, entrepreneurs or small business owners. The work I do is a combination of Life, Business and Neurodivergent coaching, as people running their own businesses have to wear all the hats, and there are less boundaries between their work and personal life it makes sense to look at it as a whole”.
“One thing that the majority of my client’s flagged up is how challenging they found networking, although they know it is extremely important to get their business out there and make connections, the networking events themselves were not Neurodivergent friendly”.
“So, in October last year I launched NeuroNetwork MCR, in conjunction with the Business and IP Centre in Central Library. It is an in-person networking event, exclusively for ND entrepreneurs, business owners and sole traders. It is a safe space where we talk about the wins as well as the struggles of running a business while managing their Neurodivergent challenges. It has had such a fantastic response, the people that attend absolutely make it, they are so supportive of each other, there is a lot of validation and sharing of tips and tools”.
NeuroNetwork MCR takes place on the first Wednesday of every month for business owners, the next event is on the Wednesday 3 September, 1-3 in the Business & IP Centre, 2nd floor of Central Library. It is free to attend, you do not need to have a formal diagnosis, self-diagnosis is valid. Please pass the information on to anyone that you think would benefit from joining the community.
