Watch Shane Hegarty, author of this year’s Early Years Transition Read introduce The One and Only You 

We are delighted that The One and Only You by Shane Hegarty and illustrated by Ben Mantle is our Transition Read title for children starting Reception classes this September.  The story emphasizes the unique nature of every one of us and is accompanied by beautiful and imaginative illustrations.  Children were gifted the book at their Transition Day reception visit to school in the summer term and we’re sure that families have been enjoying the book together over the summer holidays!   

Shane has sent a special message to all those Manchester pupils (approximately 7,000 of them!) in a video recorded especially for us! 

Pupils in two primary schools will be lucky enough to meet both Shane and Ben when they visit Manchester in September – we can’t wait!
