World Book Day at the Powerhouse Library

Powerhouse Library had the very lovely and fantastic Author/Illustrator, Nick Sharratt, visiting for World Book Day. He treated the whole of key stage 1 from Claremont Primary, in Moss Side to a sharing of his books including the well-loved “Shark in the Park”. Children were invited up to help him acting out the story with an oversized “Telescope” and “Dad’s Quiff”.

The session ended with Nick showing the children how to draw “the shark” and a small scotty dog who pops up as a background character in many of his books.

The children loved drawing the Scotty Dog as can be seen by their amazing illustrations!
