We have a fantastic job opportunity working in Manchester Libraries. We are now recruiting to the post of Service Development Co-ordinator, Children and Access. We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated person with experience of working with children/young people in schools and/or in the community. You will have experience of delivering excellent library services for children and young people to engage them with reading and learning. You will also have the proven ability to develop and manage programmes and partnerships.
Good interpersonal and team-working skills, IT skills and time management are vital. You should be passionate about books, reading and library cultural programmes and enthusiastic about working with children and young people to improve their life chances and love of reading. Experience of working in a library is essential.
The right candidate will contribute to the planning, development and implementation of children’s library services, events and initiatives across Manchester Libraries, and engage with partners both local and national to enhance the library offer. They will also work alongside the successful Read Manchester campaign to promote reading to families and communities across the city.
