Manchester & Lancashire Family History Society Helpdesk at Manchester Libraries This August

This August, Manchester & Lancashire Family History Society will offer its helpdesk at 8 libraries in Manchester.
The Family History Helpdesk usually takes place at Central Library on Monday to Friday 10-3.30. Central Library is closed between 2nd August – 25th August, and the volunteers at MLFHS have taken this opportunity to visit other libraries. Please pop in and see them!
They are spending days at Abraham Moss Library, Chorlton Library, Didsbury Library, Wythenshawe Forum Library, Gorton Library, Longsight Library and Withington Library.
Full details are on their website: https://mlfhs.uk/helpdesk-august-2025
The helpdesk is invaluable for people interested in their family history and budding genealogists. The knowledgeable and experienced Helpdesk volunteers help people from all over the world – members and non-members – to begin or expand their family histories, whether their ancestors originated from the Greater Manchester area or elsewhere.
Apart from during the closure of Central Library this August, the Helpdesk sessions run from Monday – Friday, 10.30am – 3:30pm.
